The APS forges partnership with global experts in digital selling

The Association of Professional Sales (APS) is pleased to announce a new partnership with international experts in digital selling.

The Global Association of Inside Sales Professionals (AA-ISP) will help APS members build expertise and skills in this fast-growing area of sales which is crucial for modern business development.

Inside Sales is focused on the skills, knowledge and expertise of selling to customers by email, internet, social media and mobile phone, rather than face to face.

For the past 20 years, the AA-ISP has analysed trends and data to become leaders in research and development of the Inside Sales industry.

They have built a wealth of information and resources through published content, a network of local and national sales leaders, conferences, career development, and a programme of professional accreditation.

“The partnership between the AA-ISP and APS will allow the global selling community to benefit from each of our combined resources, research, and thought leadership”, stated AA-ISP founder and chairman, Bob Perkins.

Andrew Hough the CEO of the Association of Professional Sales said: “Like the APS, the AA-ISP is a strong advocate for the importance of professionally qualified sales professionals. We are encouraging all members of AA-ISP to sign up to our code of conduct to demonstrate their commitment to ethical sales.

“Our new partnership will allow the large membership base of the APS to make the most of the AA-ISP’s highly recognised resource library and educational content around skills and best practices of inside, virtual and digital sales.

“Furthermore, it will enable Inside Sales professionals to join the APS revolution to build wider sales standards and ethics across our industry .”

Bob Perkins concluded: “The lines between inside and outside sales continue to blur. Whether you are a field or inside-based rep, today’s sales person must meet the needs of the customer on their own, consumer-oriented terms. This is often accomplished through digital/virtual means such as video, social, texting, chat, email and even AI (Artificial Intelligence). We are extremely excited to work with APS on their mission to take the integrity and credibility of sales to new heights.”

Plans for the partnership include joint research and benchmarking in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific, educational webinars, and cross-promotion of memberships in the APS and AA-ISP. Additionally, the APS will actively support and participate as a presenter at the fourth annual AA-ISP Digital Sales World conference in Dublin on 13th November 2018.
