July 17, 2017: The Association of Professional Sales is delighted to announce that it has recruited five training partners of the highest calibre to deliver its sales qualifications.
Earlier this year the Association launched its suite of qualifications, aimed at everyone from those starting their sales career to aspiring managers and leaders. We can now reveal the first five leading sales training and consultancy organisations to align their courses with the aims and standards of the APS. They stand ready to award APS qualifications against their training programmes.

They range from major global players, like the Miller Heiman Group, to solid academic institutions like the Professional Academy and the Oxford Professional Education Group,” said Ben Turner, general manager of the APS.

Each of our Recognised Centres has gone through a process of aligning content and delivery to the APS qualification framework. They have also worked through the APS Quality Management System to ensure a consistent quality standard.

The APS aims to become a chartered body for the whole sales industry by 2020. Delivering sales qualifications is an important milestone in reaching that goal, and will also help to promote the high ethical standards and professionalism that all good sales organisations aspire towards.
Our members report that they are already seeing the benefit in customer conversations of choosing to go down the path of sales professionalisation. Companies like Neopost have told us that emphasising their membership of an aspiring professional body, which puts top priority on ethical behaviour, is helping their accredited sellers to close business. Companies like Toshiba TEC, which use the APS logo front and centre on their documents when bidding for business, say that they have found the quality of conversations with their customers improving.

You can rest assured that APS qualifications have been mapped to the latest national standards for sales from the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. They have been approved by the APS’s independent academic board.
The curricula reflect the latest feedback from APS members. They also incorporate up-to-the-minute research carried out by the independent Trailblazer group which is working with government to offer the UK’s first degree-level Apprenticeship in B2B sales.
Different qualifications will be pitched at levels 3 to 6: from the equivalent of A Level, to postgraduate standard. As a result, the APS’s recognised sales qualifications will suit anyone from a junior sales recruit to sales leader.
