Professional sales revolution reaches new milestone

Hundreds of salespeople at some of Britain’s top companies have been accredited by the Association of Professional Sales (APS) after passing our ethical sales assessment to achieve professional, registered status.

The sales teams come from a range of diverse businesses like Toshiba TEC, Royal Mail, Whitbread, RS Components and Oxford International Education Group. (See full list below.)

When more than 50% of a salesforce have passed the APS professional registration assessment, they are presented with our prestigious Investor in Sales award.

The assessment tests sellers’ ethical behaviour in a number of theoretical, sales-based scenarios with no guarantee of a pass.

Although 50% is the benchmark set by the APS, most companies’ salesforces work hard to achieve impressive pass rates. For instance, more than 90 per cent of the sales team at Brother UK have gained APS professional registration.

In total, 800 salespeople from 17 companies have passed the APS assessment.

Ben Turner, Co-CEO of the APS, said: “The growing number of sales teams who have achieved APS professional accreditation is truly impressive.

“The sales leaders at the companies listed below recognise that the personal development of their salespeople is good for each individual, and for their business and their customers.

And CEOs have said the relationship with the APS has made a positive difference to their revenue, and their recruitment and retention of staff.

The CEO of leading software company Ideagen, who recently won their Investor in Sales award,  commented:
