Chair of the APS Diversity Special Interest Group

The last decade has revolutionised buying behaviour and B2B sales organisations have had to adapt their go-to-market models to respond to different buyer expectations. As Founder and CEO of Clarify, Claire’s mission is to change the way that companies use and value business development. Clarify enables sales leaders and their teams to have the agility and expertise to deliver against the changes in their market, corporate growth strategies and internal pressures to perform.

The standard of selling delivered by Clarify and its clients can only be achieved by highly skilled professionals who are dedicated to achieving valuable business outcomes. Sales is the lifeblood of any organisation and there are some outstanding individuals in our profession. Claire believes that the APS has a unique opportunity to lead the profession to a new status; one with a reputation for ethical decision-making, professionalism and quality – and one that is dedicated to turning sales into a profession that attracts, retains and develops the best talent.

Claire lives in west Hampshire with her husband and four children who keep her weekends hectic with a very demanding sporting calendar! Claire has however found time to incorporate one of her passions into the business, setting up the Clarify charitable Foundation which supports local charities and fundraises for school projects in rural Africa.

In 2014 Claire was awarded ‘Woman of the Year’ (SME), which celebrates women who have achieved significant results and excellence in their field. In June 2015 Claire was recognised by Real Business Magazine and the CBI as ‘First Woman of Business Services’ at the national First Women in Business awards which celebrates the contribution made by female business leaders across the UK.
